Evelyn Lemar received her first publishing credit in the August 2006 edition of Chicken Soup for the African-American Woman’s Soul as a contributing writer. In addition to writing, she is also a poet/spoken word artist. A veteran of the United States Army, Evelyn lives with her daughter in Raleigh, North Carolina.
